Diabetic ulcer with gangrene, bypass surgery
How would I code this scenario?
We are seeing someone with a diabetic ulcer with gangrene, lateral aspect of right foot. He was referred to us after right femoral to mid posterior tibial artery bypass, right common femoral endarterectomy. We wil be changing dressings on surgical site as well as foot ulcer.
Do I use an aftercare code or do I code the diabetic ulcer with gangrene and presence of graft?
