PT SOC
We have a patient with many episodes; originally her SOC was for a non healing surgical wound (wound caused by trauma, then had surgery, wound non healing after surgery per physician) - SN was caring for the wound. Patient was D/C and came back to our agency for PT only, weakness due to lung transplant - wound was being cared for by wound clinic and at SOC was not being considered a complication anymore by physician. So, the PT coded the wound as a trauma wound, not a complication. Is this correct? Thank you for your assistance - Nancy
