In cases where the patient will receive both PT and SN do you code the dx for Sn first or the ones for PT first?
(we are having a debate in office)

    It depends on the focus of care. If PT is doing more visits than nursing then PT diagnosis are usually up top if Nsg is doing more than Nsg codes up top if they doing almost equal visits go with what the focus of care is per nursing

    There are no such things as "PT or SN" diagnosis'. Focus of care should dictate ordering of diagnosis' according to ICD guidelines.
