(L) THA revision with IV Antibiotics
Good morning,
I have overthought this admit and confused myself on whether I should code the Z47.1 or T84.52XA as primary. Admitted to HH 7/9/16
S/P (L) hip hemiarthroplasty 6/9/16 and dislocation7/1/16 admitted to hosp with closed reduction performed, Hip dislocated (T84.021A) again the following day. Pt then underwent THA 7/5/16.
Patient is now on IV antibiotics secondary to positive GS.
The F2F simply states (L)THA with positive GS. I know the hardware has been replaced and that makes me want to get away from the infected hardware code. Help
