aftercare joint
Patient had instability of Rt knee prosthesis (T84.022A--Instability of internal right knee prosthesis, initial encounter)and avulsion of Rt MCL (S83.411A). Patient had a revision with polyethylene component exchange and repair of MCL. Would this be coded as joint aftercare Z47.1 and S83.411D (sprain of MCL, subsequent encounter) or should it be coded as T84.022D--Instability of internal right knee prosthesis, subsequent encounter? Can anyone help? thanks
