difficult coding scenario - URGENT
How would you code the following scenario for home health:
86 yr old male admitted to ER with severe respiratory distress, O2 sats 74%. Diagnosis Septic shock, Septicemia, Respiratory failure with hypoxia, pneumonia, insulin dependent diabetes. Orders for home health are for nursing, PT, OT and Home Health Aide. Being sent home with oxygen.
I have a problem with this...because it seems like several things may be resolved by the time the patient comes home. But this is exactly the way it was presented to me.
