Decub ulcer with abscess
Hi, I need help on the following: Have a patient with dx of Lumbosacral Decubitus ulcer over a closed surgical incision. Evaluated with a slow ulcerating decubitus ulcer, MRI showed a large abscess so I&D done.wound culture show Enterobacter cloacae. There is small opening with visible hardware. Pt also has a slightly loose screw which won't be repaired.
I am unsure how to code this. Hospital dc dx include Lumbosacral decub ulcer, Thoracolumbosacral hardware failure, perispinal wound abscess with I&D.
