Ileostomy Question

I have chart where a patient just had surgery for an ileostomy stricture. I coded K94.13 which is a complication code, so I don't use a status or aftercare code, do I? I really feel like I am missing something here but according to the "coding tips" it says not to use a status code with a complication.

    Hi Jill.
    The stricture was resolved with the surgery.
    The complication code goes in M1011.
    The AC code goes in M1021. No complication added to M1023 because it is a resolved condition.
