suprapubic catheter
Have a pt with a SP catheter – we are not doing any care to it – we are
assessing the quality of the urine output as he does have hx of UTIs.
Would I code just the status of the SP catheter? And would that be Z93.6?
Is the insertion site of the SP catheter considered a surgical wound? If
so, what healing status is it if the site is clean?
If it is not considered a surgical wound, would it be counted in M1350?

It is considered a cystostomy, therefore an ostomy not a surgical wound.
