Life Vest

Is there any code to suggest that patient has a life vest. Cardiomyopathy is coded but is there any Z code that would signify that they are wearing a life vest.

    The vest is an external defibrillator.
    See if there is a status code for external cardiac device.

    Is there a code for an external life vest? Z95.810 is for an implanted device. Would you use Z95.811 Presence of heart assist device?

    The Z95 codes are for "cardiac and vascular implants and grafts". The vest is not implanted. So I don't think this fits here Not sure there is a code for the life vest.

    I have z95.811, presence of heart assist device, flagged in my book for life vest.
