joint replacements

we know that we don't code abn of gait with a hip replacement. We have 3 Z codes, aftercare, joint replaced, and removal of sutures. They had osteo of the joint that was replaced. Do we still code the osteo if there is no osteo anywhere else? If we don't code that, we need another code that is not a Z code, we are not sure what should be coded.

    For some joint replacement patients it is totally appropriate to only have Z
    codes - when they don't have any other comorbidities that will be affecting
    the POC.

    In ICD 10, is it correct that we can use only Z codes in some circumstances and MC will not reject the claim?
