Aftercare of CABG
I have a patient who was admitted to HH for medication management and education after a CABG x3 on 4/21. According to paperwork from the hospital there was a postop complication of incision infection that was treated with oral antibiotics. The patient then went to a swing bed before coming to our HH. There are no wound care orders other than to leave the healing incision open to air. Would it still be considered a complication at this point or would I be able to code the incision normally?
Comments
I will add, the patient was admitted to our services 5/18/25.
