Nephrostomy and Ileal conduit
Pt has both a nephrostomy tube as well as a ileal conduit.
The nephrostomy tubes are exiting from the opening of the ileal conduit.
The nephrostomies require flushing three times a week.
Because the nephrostomy drains into the same bag of the ileal conduit the RN also needs to change the ostomy bag once a week so as to not dislodge the nephrostomy tube.
How would this be coded as the RN is providing care to both the nephrostomy tubes as well as the ileal conduit.
