The patient underwent insertion of a Pleurax Cath following VATS , biopsy of lung and now sent home with a pleurax catheter for pleural effusion.
According to the coding clinic release of June 2019 :
" Assign code Z48.813, Encounter for surgical aftercare following surgery on the respiratory system, and code Z48.01, Encounter for change or removal of surgical wound dressing. Code Z48.813 describes the body system requiring the aftercare and can be used in conjunction with other aftercare codes to fully explain the aftercare encounter."
M 1340 would be NO

Z488.13 aftercare respiratory surgery
z48.01 change of surgical dressing
Z48.03 change /removal of drain
