Crohn's Disease with bleeding and Ileostomy present
The patient is primarily on home health for fatigue and weight loss; I am trying to code her Crohn's Disease - she has had recurrent bleeding, however she has an ileostomy and the bleeding is present in the ostomy output. So I was not sure if K50.011 "Crohn's disease of small intestine with rectal bleeding" is appropriate in this instance. I currently have Chrohn's Disease with other complication coded, and the GI bleed/anemia after that but not loving that way either. Any thoughts? Thanks!
