I was wondering what anyone would suggest for getting CEU's for coders? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,Angie
Taking the quiz for each issue of Diagnosis Coding Pro gives 1 CEU, so it's easy to get 10 there. The other 10 are mandatory from the two self assessments.
Webinars are a great way to earn CEUs as well. You can listen to them on-demand. We just had one on Coding Clinic guidance a few weeks ago: https://store.decisionhealth.com/coding-clinic-guidance
Also, the Home Health Coding Summit is coming up. Tons of CEUs are offered and it's a fantastic event that will keep you up to speed on the latest developments in home health coding: http://www.decisionhealth.com/homehealthcodingsummit/
The College of St Scholastica has free MOOC (Massive Online Open Classes) that are worth at least 12 CEUs that are accepted by AHIMA. I've taken an Excel in Healthcare class and right now I am taking a class in Business Ethics. I had to buy a text book for the Ethics class but I found a used on on Amazon, so 12 CEUS for 25 buck!
