Diverticulosis

Does this condition resolve or does it last a life time? I know that diverticulitis resolves.

    It's to my understanding that it does not resolve unless that part of the colon is resected. The pouches in the abdominal wall are basically parts of the colon that had been overexerted by hard stool from lack of a fibrous diet, and it doesn't return to normal.
