R53.1 and/or M62.81

Can either of these codes be used as primary code. I realize we should code to what is causing the weakness, but many times the patient is deconditioned after an illness that is resolved. Therapy is ordered for strengthening. Therapist are frequently using either R53.1 or M63.81 as their primary code. Thoughts?

    I've always been told to avoid - if can. I've only coded it as primary if there is NO relevance to a more definitive dx.
