multiple fractures due to MVA with positive blood cultures
Help have a patient with multiple fractures . I coded each one seperately but am confused with the quidance using A or D. she also had positive blood cultues and c diff both being treated with 2 antibiotic one iv and the other oral. I have coded both infection agents and external cause MVA . D i know to use if routine healing but im suppose to use A if antibiotic used for infection but dont know which wound caused infection. So do I use A or D or should i always use A when its new.Pt had the injures3 weks ago. thank you in advance. Beth Muhaw RN QA
