abnormality of gait

We are having a discussion regarding assigning abnormality of gait with aftercare of total knee replacement. I have explained that abn gait is integral to joint replaced and therefore, abnormality of gait is not coded.
I ask for your opinions to ensure that I am correct and if not, why not.

    I think you are correct. We did this prior to ICD-10, but I never liked it. All the information I received during the ICD-10 education seminars advised against it.
