dementia
I know we don't usually use dementia as a primary dx in home health but, the patient had an exacerbation, change in several medications and dangerous behavior in early morning with the kitchen and stove. Pt is also very unsteady on feet,wobbly and repeated falls Would I code R27.8 other lack of coordination or R26.8 other abnormality of gait. I confirmed the dx of dementia with doctor and code it as F03.91 but think the other codes help paint the picture. Am I on the right track? Thank you in advance.
