Coding a Contusion with Hematoma and I&D ???
Good afternoon, my patient sustained a contusion to leg (MVA)that developed a hematoma. The physician performed I&D at bedside before d/c. We are seeing her for wound care. Would it be still coded as "S8011XD" Contusion of right lower leg, subsequent encounter with Z48.00? Thanks!
