HPTN

What do we code when I patient has this documented?

Comments

  • Primary pulmonary hypertension/I27.0? You will need to clarify that with the physician!

  • Hi Jessica.
In my career I have noted physicians and nurses from different parts of the world abbreviate hypertension as HPTN instead of HTN. Physician clarification is always recommended when there is a question of documentation interpretation.
