After a laminectomy due to lumbar spinal stenosis. Do you continue to code the spinal stenosis in MO1023? Is the spinal stenosis considered resolved?

  • Lori,

It may or may not be resolved. Pay close attention to the referral active diagnosis information (stated as active or resolved). Often, this type of surgery is palliative and does not completely resolve the condition.
