renal stenosis/diab and PVD

We have a patient that the physician has documented renal stenosis and the
patient is a diabetic.

Would this be considered E11.29 (diab with other diabetic kidney
complication) or would the physician need to specify this.

We also have another pt that is a diabetic and also has a dx of PVD and CAD
– are these assumed relationships as well and would that make the diabetes
code be E11.59?

I know PVD is an assumed relationship per the “with” in the alphabetic index – would look there to verify the others…PVD would be DM w/angiopathy w/o gangrene I think..

Thank you and have a good day!
