Having trouble finding code for implanted Tens unit

the agency is not managing it in any way and its not new. Its just a presence of it. I can't seem to find a code that fits.

    After coding the reason for the inplant (Pain), the closest match I think
    is Z46.82, but get others input....I am still learning.

    Use Z97.8 Presence of other specified devices. Often when I am having difficulty finding a "status" code, I will first search using encounter for, or attention to a device. I then look at the excludes note to find the status code. Hope this helps.

    Z46.82 is a code used to state that you are providing care, thus is not the correct code. This code can be use for care of a drain. For example: care of the JP drain s/p a mastectomy with reconstruction.
