I don’t believe I have seen anyone respond to this as I would have. You will use the surgical aftercare code for amputation aftercare. The osteo was eliminated with the amputation hence the reason the patient no longer requires antibiotics. The wound care is surgical dressing changes sounds like to me.

Diabetic with R 5th toe amp d/t osteo, SN for wound care. Do I still code E11.621 or which diabetes code should I use? Also, pt no longer on abx. so is the osteo coded or not?
