Medication induced encephalopathy
Patient has chronic back pain and on pain meds. Percocet changed to Hydrocodone causing the metabolic encephalopathy which is now resolved. Would I code this to adverse effect of hydrocodone? I cant code the Encephalopathy. SN for medication management, pain management, monitoring of Coumadin levels. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
