Question

If laceration is as a result of fall and staples are present upon assessment, do we code laceration with or without foreign body (staples)? I am inclining towards without S01.01.

Also if the fall that result in trauma is due to syncope and not an external cause, which code for fall would be appropriate?

Thank you!
