Thrombosis of Dialysis Catheter
Patient has ESRD and undergoes dialysis three times a week.Patient was hospitalized due to malfunction of his dialysis catheter (thrombosis) and a right jugular dialysis catheter was placed during the hospital stay. Would T82.868D code be included in M1021-M1025? what about the newly placed jugular catheter? How would this be coded? Appreciate input on this case. Thank you.
