Other Abnormalities of Gait & Mobility
Hi Group, Does anyone have any guidelines as to when we should code R26.89 "other Abnormalities of Gait & mobility" Vs R26.9. Do we need specific documentation from the physician to use this code. Also can we use it along with RA, OA & back pain?
Thanks

This is were PT notes are very important. There are dx where it is a given
of abnormal gait, etc. If there is back pain, OA or RA better to code the
dx because it is a given there would be difficulty walking or walking
abnormally.
Hope this helps!
