Fx Humerus & Fx Pelvis

Patient fell end of July and had a fractured humerus and pelvis. Patient was sent to NH and now has gone home. Still has ROM issues with her arm and gait disturbance. Would I use S as the 7th character for the fractures since it has been two months since it happened?

    S is sequela. What is the sequela?

    If the fractures are now healing and no problems, use D.

    I hit enter on my first response too soon. I don't think these are sequela, I think these are normal occurrences following fractures. And as the patient continues to heal/recover, this typically goes away.


    Aren't ROM and gait disturbances normal occurrences after fractures? I wouldn't go to an S, I think I'd stay at D.

    Good question though--I'm curious what others think
