Patient’s primary diagnosis is “Cognitive deficit following cerebral infarct”. The patient has a history of “Unspecified Dementia”. Do I keep the code for Unspecified Dementia (F03.90) OR do I use Dementia (F02.80) OR use Vascular Dementia (F01.50)?
