strokes!
I have physician documentation of hospitalization for a patient with a CVA
d/t thrombosis of L carotid artery (I63.032) and then they also documented
CVA of unspecified mechanism (I63.9). Pt presented with L sided weakness
and aphasia and does have a hx of CVA as well.
Can I put both CVA codes in M1011 and M1017?
