fracture with non union plus infection
patient broke his right ankle last year...type I or II open fracture with non union....had an ORIF...In January it was discovered there's an infection...so had the internal fixator device removed, along w/ "calacanial-tibial fusion" plus an external fixator placed.. patient came home with IV antibiotics...I want to code "T84.7XXA" for the infection but how do I capture the fracture now? referral states "S82.851E" ...is that the correct last letter or should it be an M?
