pacemaker insertion
Patient was admitted to home health after pacemaker insertion because of persistent a-fib. My question is do I code aftercare of surgery on the circulatory system (Z48.812) or just presence of pacemaker (Z95.0) or both? I will code persistent a-fib (I48.1). Operative report state slow ventricular rate during a-fib (second degree AV block), is there any type of code for this?
