pt is s/p right inguinal hernia repair...(incarcerated)...post op day 2 it recurred...had a repair...went to rehab ...please help with coding...14 days prior to SOC he was still in hosp..post op
Not sure what you are asking. Code the incarcerated hernia for M1011 (and also in M1017 if the recurrence was in the last 14 days prior to your SOC). If the surgical site is not complicated and is the focus of the skilled homecare services, code aftercare of digestive system surgery as your primary diagnosis.
