2018 code use
I am getting multiple requests from my biller to change dx codes on certifications that span the Oct 1 date. For example the admit or recert date was prior to 10/1/2017 and ends after the updated codes take effect. Can someone direct me to CMS guidance on this? I have been looking and cant seem to find it. I seem to recall that we are supposed to code with the codes that are valid at the time, and not change them.
