Recertification order
wanting feedback from other agencies: when do you send out your recertification order? we discuss patients coming up for recert the week before the recert is due at case conference as to where patient currently is and what future needs identified. Does your agency contact physician with these findings and ask for continued needs and get verbal for recert, then send the order over for signature and then send the new POC over for signature after the actual visit or, do you wait until the 5 days window opens and the recert visit is done to call and get verbal order to continue and then send the recert order and the new POC? would love feedback as to which works better and is in compliance with Medicare. thanks so much!!
